Alicia Keys and Maggie Gyllenhaal are heading to Washington, D.C., to protest the potential confirmation of controversial U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
The two stars will join Erykah Badu, jazz musician Esperanza Spalding, and many others for the Bravery Is Contagious event, which will take place in front of the U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday -- the day before lawmakers vote on Kavanaugh's nomination.
The top judge is facing allegations of sexual misconduct dating back to his high school years. Kavanaugh has vehemently denied the accusations, but activists are still keen to make sure he isn't given a lifetime position on the highest court in the country.
"We anticipate a vote on the Senate floor to confirm Brett Kavanaugh as early as Friday," a message on the protest website reads. "It is critical we make our voices heard on the ground in Washington on Thursday."
