You'll have some extra time to catch up on the titles that are leaving Netflix in February as the schedule has nothing dropping off the streaming service until February 11, 2020. Sadly, this month is packed with great titles that you'll certainly want to consider sitting down with. Here are nine that stood out to me.

Clouds of Sils Maria

"Clouds of Sils Maria" is a 2014 film from director/writer Olivier Assayas featuring Juliette Binoche as Maria Enders, a fading star, who is forced to acknowledge that her career is on the decline. Kristen Stewart stars as Maria's personal aid with Chloë Grace Moretz appearing as up-and-coming ingénue. (Leaving 2/11/20)

District 9

With the summer of 2009 coming to a close, there were no real expectations going into Neill Blomkamp's "District 9." Six weeks earlier "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" had sucked all the fun out of sci-fi cinema and no one expected the blockbuster season to end on a high note. We were all wrong as "District 9" proved to be an intelligent post-alien-invasion film rooted in real racial politics. (Leaving 2/14/20)

Milk

Director Gus Van Sant's "Milk," a biographical film about Harvey Milk, a gay activist and politician, captures an important moment in U.S. history and serves as a reminder of how far we've come (both in a positive and negative sense). Sean Penn won an Academy Award for his portrayal of Milk. Screenwriter Dustin Lance Black also won an Oscar for his original screenplay. (Leaving 2/15/20)

Lincoln

Steven Spielberg's "Lincoln" stars Daniel Day-Lewis as President Abraham Lincoln as the Civil War leaves a trail of dead in the wake of his decision to emancipate slaves. (Leaving 2/20/20)

Trainspotting

Director Danny Boyle transformed Irvine Welsh's novel about a man (Ewan McGregor) trying to outrun his drug habit, dysfunctional friendships and dead-end life into a classic slice of cinema. Features the most horrifying head turn since "The Exorcist." (Leaving 2/28/20)

50/50

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen and Anna Kendrick star in this surprisingly funny story about a young man who is told that he has cancer and a 50/50 chance of surviving. Based on a true story, "50/50" was one of my favorite films from 2011 as it presents a difficult subject with a warm sense of humanity. (Leaving 2/29/20)

Rachel Getting Married

Jonathan Demme directs Anne Hathaway and Rosemarie DeWitt in this celebrated 2008 drama about Kym (Hathaway) who has struggled with drug addiction and is out of rehab who is temporarily released to attend her sister Rachel's (DeWitt) wedding. It's supposed to be Rachel's day, but everyone is focusing on Kym. (Leaving 2/29/20)

Up in the Air

George Clooney stars as Ryan Bingham, a man who travels around the country firing employees for clients who would rather not do it themselves. Vera Farmiga stars as a potential love interest and Anna Kendrick plays a new employee learning the trade under Bingham's watch. (Leaving 2/29/20)
